I'm Sébastien Night, the CEO and co-founder of OneTake AI, and today I’m here with an important message for all of you who joined OneTake AI through our AppSumo campaign. There have been some recent developments that we want to clarify, and I want to ensure you have all the facts.

First things first: everything is fine. If you’ve been concerned about changes, let me reassure you - nothing has changed. Your OneTake AI account remains as it was, and you can continue using the platform without worry.
To give you a bit of background, we launched our AppSumo campaign on January 29th, 2024. We are thrilled that so many of you joined us! Through this campaign, you gained access to OneTake AI and its powerful capabilities, whether it's for video editing or content creation with OneTake Chat. When you signed up for OneTake via AppSumo, you locked in a lifetime deal. This means you’ll have access to OneTake for as long as we’re around.
We understand that there were different tiers at the time of the campaign, and depending on your tier (Tier 1, 2, or 3 during the launch or Tiers 4 and 5 later in the year), you received different amounts of AI credits. Since then, we simplified things based on your feedback, and now everyone enjoys higher limits across their accounts.
When we launched the campaign, it came with specific dates: a start date, an end date, and a clause that allows AppSumo to bring us back a couple of times throughout the year for future promotions. This is how we ended up with some customers joining in early January 2024, while others came on board when AppSumo re-promoted us later in the year.
Now, here's an important update: the window for moving between tiers has closed. If you joined under one tier, it’s not possible to upgrade to a higher tier through AppSumo anymore. This is part of the structure of the deal, and the time to switch tiers has passed. However, we’ve seen a lot of interest from customers wanting to upgrade, especially as we prepare for the release of OneTake 7. I want to assure you that even though tier movement through AppSumo is no longer possible, we are here to help.
Some of you have reached out asking why you can’t move up to a higher tier, and that’s because the AppSumo deal has officially ended, and they no longer allow tier changes. However, my team and I have been exploring ways for customers to upgrade directly with us.
We recently sent out an email explaining this situation, but I realize that it wasn’t as clear as it should have been. Some of you expressed frustration, and I want to clarify that this wasn’t our intention at all. There’s been no bait and switch, no change in your plan, and no sudden "catch" to the deal. Your lifetime access is still intact, and we are committed to providing you with the same great service.
Now, onto some exciting news: OneTake 7 is almost here! We’ve been working hard on a new version of the OneTake AI platform, and I’m thrilled to share that it’s going to be smarter, more intuitive, and more capable than ever before. This new version will not only improve your video editing experience but also make the AI smarter about understanding your feedback.
Imagine this: you’ll be able to tell the AI exactly what you want to change in your video, and it will adjust accordingly - just like you would with a human editor. You no longer have to manually make adjustments or dive deep into advanced editing tools. The AI will get better with every piece of feedback you give, moving from 90% to 100% perfection. We’re excited to bring this to life, and if you’re interested in being one of the first to try it, we’ve opened up a beta testing program.

Meanwhile, We are not doing anything to your account or your plan. You are still in control of your lifetime deal, and we have no plans of changing that. I hope this message helps clear up any misunderstandings.
